The Cure Leukaemia Tour De Touchwood brought local businesses together at Touchwood Shopping Centre in Solihull for a 24-hour indoor cycling challenge. Oakmans was proud to take part, helping raise awareness and vital funds for pioneering blood cancer research.

As part of our ongoing commitment to donate £250 every week to charities and local causes, a campaign that will see £13,000 donated throughout the year, members of the Oakmans team joined businesses from across the region for this brilliant fundraising event.

Cycling for Cure Leukaemia
Tour De Touchwood was organised by Davisons Law and set an ambitious goal. Over 24 continuous hours, teams would collectively cycle the full distance of the Tour de France.
The event brought together local businesses, supporters and volunteers, all taking turns on the bikes to keep the challenge moving day and night. Thanks to an incredible effort from everyone involved, the target was not only reached but surpassed, with more than 3,700 kilometres cycled for Cure Leukaemia.
Five members of the Oakmans team represented the business, taking on a one-hour relay slot alongside dozens of other local companies. It was a great chance to get involved, support one another and play a small part in a huge community effort.
Why Cure Leukaemia Matters
Cure Leukaemia is a charity dedicated to funding pioneering blood cancer research. Its work helps connect patients with potentially life-saving clinical trials and treatments, while supporting the development of better options for people affected by leukaemia and other blood cancers.
Every kilometre completed during the Cure Leukaemia Tour De Touchwood challenge helped raise awareness and vital funds for this important work. It was brilliant to see so many people come together with a shared purpose, whether they were cycling, cheering on the teams or helping to organise the event.

A Brilliant Community Effort
We would like to thank Davisons Law for organising such an inspiring event, as well as everyone who cycled, donated, volunteered and supported the challenge throughout the 24 hours.
The atmosphere at Touchwood was a real reminder of what can happen when local businesses and communities work towards the same goal. The challenge was tough, but the result was something everyone involved can be proud of.
